We sell the VLS-2000 direct for $849.00 plus shipping. With this purchase, you receive 30-day money-back satisfaction guarantee as well as a one-year warrantee against any defects from manufacturing.
Scalers won during an eBay auctions come with a 30-day warrantee.
We use the Genesis microchipset.
Probably not: This unit will sharpen your picture and de-interlace all the interlaced signals. If your satellite system is already connected with the 15 pin HDTV cable, then you're already running a progressive, non-interlaced scan picture from the source. Our scaler will not take progressive sources and simply passes this HDTV input to the HDTV output.
Do you include a break-out cable?
No: in order to keep prices as low as possible (and due to the fact that there are so many individual configurations available) we do not include the break-out. All other parts (manual, remote, batteries, line/power cabling) are included.
This unit will not do ANY interlace mode
From the manual: Output Scaling (640x480, 480p,
800x600, 720p, 1024x768, 960p, 1365x1024)(PAL mode - add 576p and 1152p.)
If your projector will take 720p that is a much better image than a 1080i.

I can't find any reviews of the VLS-2000 - do you have any?
We came across a site called AVS Forum and found an excellent discussion there: at least two past auction winners discuss their purchases, systems and answer questions. Click here to read some unsolicited opinions.
Are there any upgrades available?
The latest software version available from us is v2.3: this incorporates some new options for setting the unit to negative sync mode via the remote. These upgrades are available for free to original purchasers (non-auction). If you have a VLS-2000 and would like to upgrade, click here for more information or email me for more details.
There is no power switch on the VLS-2000. You can plug it into a switched outlet, a power bar or just leave it powered on: there is no harm in leaving it plugged in and powered up.
